My name is Ovya Ganesan, and I am a graduating MCB-Genetics, Genomics, and Development major at UC Berkeley. I am very interested in financial literacy, racial justice, and empowering young women in the community to find their own voices. The YWCA’s Young Women’s Financial Literacy Program has empowered me, and I am grateful that I can pay that forward.
How were you involved in the YWCA Berkeley/Oakland?: I was a volunteer for the Young Women’s Financial Literacy Program, where I helped with organizing the Financial Literacy Summit for high school girls!
What’s next?: I look forward to completing a one-year Master in Public Health at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice.
