Pilates

This class introduces fundamentals of Pilates concepts, building strong abdominal and back muscles and enhancing strength, alignment and flexibility. Instructor: Nan Ayers, Certified Pilates Instructor.

Building on the fundamentals, this class focuses on conditioning of the abdominal, back and leg muscles using the breath as support. Instructor: Nan Ayers.

Self Defense

This effective program develops mental and physical skills for self defense, and helps promote self-assertiveness and self-confidence in one’s life. The pyschology of self defense as well as efficient physical techniques will be covered in a supportive environment. Women and men welcome. Instructor: Som Pourfarzaneh, black belt martial arts instructor throughout the Bay Area.
Tuesdays, 7:15-8:15 PM

Kundalini-style yoga emphasizes strength, flexibility, alignment and breath awareness, helping to revitalize the body and clear the mind. Instructor: Iris Castle, Certified Yoga Instructor, has taught in NYC, New Mexico and throughout the Bay Area.

Build your flexibility and stamina with basic yoga postures and breathing awareness. Go beyond your present limits gradually and safely and leave class refreshed. Instructor: Marie Hart, Certified Iyengar Yoga and voted “Best of the East Bay” Yoga Teacher, 2001 East Bay Express.

This class reflects the instructor’s solid foundation in yoga’s alignment principles. Her fun approach to teaching helps students experience a joyful means of finding physical awareness and balance in their life. Instructor: Anna DeRosa, Certified Yoga Instructor.
