YWCA Dance & Fitness classes run throughout the year in three sessions, Fall (August – November), Winter/Spring (January – May), Summer (May – August) allowing for more dance class opportunities for everyone!
Drop in anytime to try a class for $12! Or save money by purchasing a YWCA Class Card! You pick the dates and classes you want to attend!
YWCA Class Card Rate
- 4 class card – $45 |
- with membership $40
- 8 class card $85 |
- with membership $75 [$21 savings!]
- 12 class card $115 | $9.58 per class
- with membership $105 [$39 savings!]
The YWCA class card is valid for 90 days.
Extension policy: For $10 you can extend your class card for 45 days. Extensions must happen before class card expires. Extensions can only be done once and must be done in person or over the phone.
Annual YWCA Membership only $20 and receive up to $10 discount on all dance and fitness Class Cards!
How to purchase a YWCA Class Card
Purchase a Class Card and apply sessions to any dance & fitness classes offered! Use all sessions in the same class or apply them to multiple classes. Classes fill quickly! You may sign up for classes:
- Sign up for a Class Card In Person or By Phone – all major credit cards accepted
- In Person – During our regular business hours – we accept cash, check and credit card
- By Mail – Check payable to the YWCA
- Once a class has reached its full enrollment, the class will be closed.
No refunds. A credit for the class may be issued only through the Program Director and is to their discretion. Any unused sessions from the Class Card are non-refundable. YWCA Class Cards are valid for 90’s after the first session is attended. If a class is cancelled the client may apply the session to another class offered. Refunds are only issued when the person has a doctor’s medical note.

Ballet For Fun and Fitness
Summer Dates: Mondays, May 20th – August 5th at 5:15 pm
Gain balance, strength and fluid movement while achieving excellent technique, poise and posture. Learn the basics while stretching, strengthening, and improving balance, flexibility and fitness.

Argentine Tango: Fundamentals
Summer Dates: Mondays, May 20th – August 5th at 6:30 pm
This beginner-friendly class will focus on fundamental techniques to prepare you for the social dance floor. Experienced tango dancers are welcome to attend to improve their dance.
Instructor: Jonas Aquino studied Argentine Tango in Buenos Aires, and have taught throughout the Bay Area.

Explore the foundations of this dynamic art form of multicultural Southern Spain known for its intricate rhythms, percussive footwork with an emphasis on a strong, grounded and expressive upper body.
Instructor: Sara Ayala, Co-founder of Flamenco Vivo, studied in Spain with Flamenco masters.
Returns in Fall 2019
Instructor: Rena Marie Guidry, actor and dance for over 30 years, in both Los Angeles and the Bay Area
Summer Dates: Tuesdays, May 21st – August 6th at 6:30 pm
Learn your Salsa basics quickly to get ready to go out and dance at the clubs and Summer festivals. Each one hour session students learn basic moves and put them into a mini-pattern. Intended for those curious about Salsa and who want to learn FAST. Beginners through Advanced Beginners welcome. NO partner necessary, we rotate! Please wear non rubber soled shoes, comfortable clothing and bring your positive attitude – you will be dancing Salsa soon!

Bellydance: Technique & Combinations
Summer Dates: Wednesdays, May 22nd – August 7th at 5:15 pm
This class is open to dancers of all different dance backgrounds and levels. Learn body isolations, shimmies, and basic layering techniques in a fun and supportive environment. Each day we will learn a short combination that will utilize the techniques learned in class.
Instructor: Natalie Nayun Natalie is an international teacher and performer. She has been dancing for over 16 years and teaching for over 10 years. Elizabeth StrongElizabeth Strong is a San Francisco Bay Area dancer, choreographer, and teacher whose work focuses on the integrity and spirit of traditional dance forms inside of a contemporary framework.
