We are located directly across from the U.C. Berkeley campus at the corner of Bancroft and Bowditch between College and Telegraph in central Berkeley.
Public Parking
There are two public parking lots near our building. One is on Bowditch and Bancroft. The other is at the Sather Gate parking garage where we validate 50% of the parking fees (when you are involved in our programs at the YWCA). The entrance is on Durant or Channing (cross street Telegraph). Metered parking is available on all streets surrounding the YWCA. All meters require quarters and/or nickels.
Highway Approaches
Highway 13/Highway 24 (Westbound): Exit Tunnel Road. Continue West on Tunnel Road which runs into Ashby Avenue at Domingo Avenue (near the Claremont Hotel).Continue West on Ashby Avenue to College Avenue. Turn Right onto College. Turn Left onto Bancroft.
Highway I-80: Exit University Avenue. Continue East approximately 2 miles to Oxford Street. Turn Right onto Oxford Street and continue to Durant Avenue. Turn Left onto Durant Avenue and follow it to College Avenue. Turn Left onto College Avenue. Turn Left onto Bancroft.
Highway 24 (Eastbound): Exit Claremont Avenue. Turn Left onto Claremont Avenue and proceed to College Avenue. Turn Left onto College Avenue and continue to Bancroft Avenue (where College Avenue ends). Turn Left onto Bancroft.
Public Transportation
It's easy to get to the YWCA by BART and bus. BART to the Berkeley or
Rockridge station. AC Transit, lines 7, 40, 51, 52, or 64.
