Stand Against Racism is a signature campaign of YWCA USA, designed to build community among those who work for racial justice and raise awareness about the impact of institutional and structural racism.
On April 27th, the YWCA Berkeley/Oakland hosted a Free Breakfast for All at DeFremery Park in Oakland in honor of the Black Panther Party’s dedication to community service and black empowerment.
Staff and volunteers served bagels, fruit, granola bars, juice, water and grocery bags filled with produce and nutritious meals.
Several community members came to eat and support the stand against racism. It was a wonderful morning to socialize with and serve the community for an important cause!
