Summer Snapshots: Racial Justice and Advocacy

Learn about the Racial Justice and Advocacy program in the video above!

This Fall Semester, the Racial Justice and Advocacy program will be co-collaborating and will be meeting virtually for weekly, interactive meetings. Together we will explore how grassroot movements combined with policy can be used as a tool for racial justice and collective liberation. We will engage in political education to deepen our knowledge and understanding of voting rights and civic engagement, Indigenous & Black Liberation Movements throughout US history, and will interrogate white supremacy culture and its pillars that are embedded in our institutions. We will work to deepen our leadership and advocacy skills through community outreach, census & voter education initiatives, connecting with local movements that align with the Movement for Black Lives, and will engage in opportunities to take direct action.

We work interactively to be a part of our larger national campaigns like Week Without Violence and Stand Against Racism.
