Racial Justice & Advocacy

Racial Justice and Advocacy Program at YWCA Berkeley/Oakland

YWCA Berkeley/Oakland is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all people.

The Racial Justice and Advocacy Program is a group-based internship program. As a program, we promote voting rights and civic engagement, while also representing Indigenous and Black Liberation Movements. Interns will meet in person every week to work on leadership, advocacy, grassroots organizing skills, professional lobbying, direct action, workshops, trainings, event-planning and more, through a gender-informed and anti-racist lense.
