Family Pride Celebration
We’re excited to invite families, youth, caregivers, and community members to a joyful Pride gathering centered on connection, creativity, and belonging.
Join us for an evening of community, self-expression, and fun as we celebrate the many ways families show up with love and pride. While we’re still finalizing all of the activities, we’re planning a welcoming space filled with creativity, color, movement, and care.
Some activities we may include:

Root Journeys: A celebration of South Asian History in the Bay

Root Journeys is a free, all-ages celebration of South Asian history, culture, and community. Guests are invited to explore eight immersive "journeys" spanning food and spice histories, fashion and fabric histories, women’s health journeys, women’s money journeys, family migration stories. From making turmeric tie-dye T-shirts to making herbal teas for your health needs, to a pop-up South Asian history museum, there's something meaningful and joyful for everyone — no matter your age or background. Come curious, and discover the roots and the journeys that connect us all.

Join Riccardo and Anna for a Salsa Fundamentals class focused on building practical social dance skills. Over six lessons, students will work on the core elements of salsa—timing, body control, partner connection, and musicality—while developing the tools needed to feel comfortable in a social dance setting. Classes will include structured partnerwork covering basic steps and turn patterns, individual shines focused on footwork and styling, and an introduction to social dance etiquette. Whether you are new to salsa or looking to strengthen your foundation, this course provides a supportive and focused environment designed to help you move with confidence on the dance floor.

Join us for an inspiring event focused on self-love, self-discovery, and sexual and relational wellness! This in-person gathering, held in the Bay Area, will feature engaging conversations, a clay sculpting session, and a supportive community.
All About Love: The Gathering is a sacred, joy-filled space created for Black women (cis and trans) and Black femmes to explore, redefine, and embody self-love in community. Rooted in art + creativity as healing and care and the transformative teachings of bell hooks’ “All About Love,” this gathering invites us to move love from theory into practice: as healing, as wellness, as pleasure, as truth.
Black women, if you're looking to practice self-care, lean into sexual or relational health, boost your self-confidence, and/or connect with like-minded individuals, this event is for you! Said Our Loud: Abortion Stories Screening
Join us for a powerful Film Screening of Said Out Loud: Our Abortion Stories on February 12, 2026, from 5:00–6:30 PM at the YWCA Berkeley/Oakland. This special event is hosted by and in collaboration with the California Black Women’s Health Project.
About the film:
California Black Women's Health Project's Maternal and Reproductive Health Initiative is proud to announce “Said Out Loud: Our Abortion Stories”, a documentary capturing the diverse range of experiences of Black women who have had abortions. Directed by Donovan Gardener and Maiyah Mayhan, this film documents the raw and unfiltered stories across generations, connecting to the larger movement for reproductive justice and the historic fight for bodily autonomy.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with us at Salsa & Bachata Fundraiser Night.
