Attune and Bloom – A Sound and Reiki Experience for Clarity, Harmony, and Joy
Join DeAnna Carpenter and Danielle Washington in this restorative and experiential container of relaxation, energetic alignment and full-body attunement – just in time for the Summer Solstice!
What is reiki? A Japanese energy healing modality that helps move stuck and stagnant energy, thus creating a pathway for relaxation, reduced stress, restful sleep and an overall sense of wellness and wellbeing.
When paired with a guided meditation and intentional breathwork – all sealed and suspended in an immersive soundscape – you will emerge from this offering with greater calm, clarity, and a sense of awareness and assuredness. The perfect experience to gift yourself for the summer season.

Emancipate Yourself from Mental Slavery: Mindfulness/Meditation for Women’s Liberation
This class includes dialogues about the benefits of a regular meditation practice specifically geared towards women, girls, those who identify as such as well as non-binary people. We will learn about Goddess terminology and iconography as well as about the feminist trilogy of the virgin, mother, and crone and stories about each stage in their development.
Each class will include breathing awareness/exercises as well as the nuts and bolts of a meditation session (posture, timing, comfort level, breathing) followed by a guided meditation and ending with a certain amount of silence (as time permits). There will also be time for questions at the end of class. There is a focus on using group practice to move from theoretical perspectives about "meditation" to an actual daily practice that serves to strengthen our ability to cope with our day to day stressors and uncomfortable realities.
The class is intended to introduce women and girls to the concepts of mindfulness and meditation through the use of short dialogues and live, guided meditations. Both beginners and experienced meditators are welcome to take this class. Classes will build on each other yet drop-ins are always welcome. Goddess terminology is referenced during the class.

Wellness: Rest as Resistance with Shirley Johnson
In honor of Black History Month, this candlelit yoga and sound bath experience is rooted in the powerful affirmation that rest is a form of resistance. Inspired by the teachings of Tricia Hersey and The Nap Ministry, this gathering invites us to reclaim rest as a sacred, liberatory act in a culture that glorifies exhaustion—especially for Black bodies and communities.
Held on February 17, during the New Moon and Lunar New Year, this evening carries the energy of renewal, intention, and new beginnings. The new moon asks us to turn inward, while the Lunar New Year marks a collective threshold into a fresh cycle—making this an especially potent time to slow down, listen deeply, and set intentions rooted in restoration rather than productivity.
Through gentle movement, stillness, and immersive sound healing, we will create space to soften, exhale, and remember that rest is not a reward, but a right. Open to all, this practice centers the wisdom that slowing down is a way of healing, restoring dignity, and honoring ancestral resilience.
